This week my son’s 6th Grade Teacher is having the class work on a Historical Fiction Book Report so my son chose the I Survived Series: I Survived the Attacks of September 11th, 2001.
We’ve been Googling videos and images for the project. Helping with his assignment brought back so many feelings and memories of that day. Where I was. The feeling of sadness for those who were directly impacted. The fear & depression we all collectively felt weeks later as the victim count grew larger & larger.
So…today, in your own way, remember & reflect. September 11, 2001. Hug your Children, Significant Other & Loved Ones. Spend the day with family. Think of an old friend. Wave to your neighbor. Light a candle. Take a moment for yourself. Be there for someone else. Watch the sunset. Look forward to the sunrise…
…and Never Forget.
