Hello Beauties! \u00a0Hope you all had a great 4th of July!<\/p>\n

I watched fireworks with my family at our community lake this year and as always they never disappoint! It was a great time of celebrating our country\u2019s independence and spending time with family & friends. I also took advantage of the evening events by doing a little experiment! I\u2019ve been wanting to do this for quite some time so I thought I\u2019d share my experience.<\/p>\n

The Scenario:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year the community I live in has a great fireworks display on the lake and I have to proudly say they are one of the best I\u2019ve seen, they go all out so it\u2019s become a tradition for my family & I to find a spot in a nearby vacant lot to view the show.<\/p>\n

As you can imagine being by the lake, in a vacant lot at night is the perfect place to get nasty mosquitoes bites\u00a0 just short of getting eaten alive! \u00a0\u00a0 So along with watching the fireworks, it\u2019s also been a tradition to break out the Avon Bug Guard! It works great and protects my whole family from getting bit.<\/p>\n

This year however, I decided to mix things up a bit. Instead of using my trusted can of Avon Bug Guard I decided to give Avon Skin So Soft Original Bath Oil<\/a> a try.\u00a0 As an Avon Rep, many of my customers rave about the bath oil and praise it for how great it is for repelling insects. \u00a0 Also\u00a0 over at my \u201cSkin So Soft…Debunking the Myth\u201d<\/a> page, after reading comment after comment from loyal Skin So Soft users, the testimonies have been so convincing I knew I had to give it a try and\u00a0 the 4th<\/sup> of July holiday seemed like a perfect time to do so. \u00a0 I have to admit though, I was very nervous about using it, those mosquitoes by the lake are fierce and if the bath oil didn’t work I would literally be eaten alive! I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s just me but when I get bit, my arms and legs swell up so badly it\u2019s downright painful and the itch is just crazy! \u00a0So in spite of my fear I mustered up my courage and grabbed the bath oil.<\/p>\n

The Experiment:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t the only one participating in the experiment, I also got my family involved. To compare the effectiveness of both the Avon Bug Guard and Skin So Soft Original Bath Oil the guys (Hubby, Son & Grandpa) used the Deet-Free Avon Bug Guard Plus Picaradin<\/a> and the girls (Myself, Mom, Sister & Niece) used theAvon Skin So Soft Original Bath Oil<\/a>.\u00a0 After the fireworks we would compare how effective each of the formulas were against mosquito bites. So we slathered and sprayed and headed out to the lake. The guys were confident that we (the girls) were going to come back with welts and bites and truthfully, though I didn\u2019t\u2019 want to admit it to them, so did I.\u00a0 How could just a bath oil that contains no insect repellent whatsoever ward off mosquitoes?<\/p>\n

During the show, just as expected those bugs were fierce! The gnats & mosquitoes were relentless! In the back of my mind I thought to myself, \u201cThank goodness I have the Bug Guard anti-itch spray! When I get home I’m going to spray it all over!.\u201d\u00a0 I was anticipating a ton of bites and being itchy and miserable for the next couple of days.<\/p>\n

The Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh my, oh my! Wait \u2018til you read this!\u00a0 The guys did great! As expected the Avon Bug Guard with Picaridin repelled the insects and the guys didn\u2019t have any bites at all, and us girls, well we didn\u2019t\u2019 do so bad either!<\/p>\n

Considering how aggressive the mosquitoes were and the amount that were out there, I only had two bites, but they were very, very small and didn\u2019t swell up\u00a0 like usual mosquito bites so they may\u00a0 have come from something else. My mom, sister and niece they also had great results. My mom didn\u2019t get any bites nor did my sister, or my niece! In fact my mom was so impressed with the bath oil she immediately asked me to order her a bottle!\u00a0 So there it is! From my own experience, I can confidently say,<\/p>\n
