My name is Stephanie Wallace I live Nashville,TN and I been Avon Representative since Jan 27,2013. I have posted so much stuff online like Facebook an other social networks out there and even send out brochures, catalogs and I’m still having trouble get customers I’m trying to build my customer base can you give me any suggestions of getting new customers.

Starting out and building your customer base can be a challenge but like with everything in life what you effectively put into it will be what you get out of it. The most important thing I can suggest to you when looking to build your base is to try to relate to your customer and make it easy for them to contact you. So if you’re handing out brochures make sure you insert an order form that you’ve printed out yourself with your all your contact info. Also on that insert let them know they can phone in or email their order to you or order from your Avon website. And of course when a customer does contact you get back to them as soon as possible. It sounds very simple but I hear from so many of my costumers how their past representative never called back or weren’t consistent. Good customer service goes a long way and if your clients are happy they will more than likely want to refer you to their friends and family.
Most importantly be genuine and approachable. You don’t want to be that person that everyone wants to avoid because the first thing said is a sales pitch. I think at one time or another we’ve all experienced people like that and it’s not very appealing. The same goes for your social marketing, give your visitors what they’re looking for. The tone of your page should be personable & informative so your viewers and potential customers will want to come back.
I hope this helped a little and don’t worry it takes time to build up customers but with hard work and a personal approach I’m sure you’ll be successful in no time.

Been looking to find information in regards to Avon’s products expiration dates on products … so far unsuccessfully. I have the full line of Anew reversalist and I have not been very good about getting into a routine as I should and now its been awhile that they have just been on my shelf. While my cleanser and day/night creams appear to smell and look fine – the Anew Clinical Eye Lift looks like its changed consistency, kinna like product broke its components down. My illuminating eye system’s cream looked like it needed to be stirred together again – so I did but makes me wonder if the product’s breakdown will be less effective and the results compromised. Same question, but with a different product – The reversalist renewal serum comes out a fleshy tone color fluid and am not sure if that means its spoiled or is that what the serum is suppose to look like? Thanks for this site — its by far the most helpful site that I have come across. Avon should be payin’ you the BIG money for making their product more consumer friendly and for the wonderful representation that you do on their behalf. I don’t have an answer for you just yet but I wanted to let you know I’ll be calling Avon’s Product Support line to find the answer to your question. I’ve wondered this myself and I’m sure there are others out there as well who would like to know the shelf life of Avon’s skin care products. I wondered if you could give me advice regarding a much loved product that was discontinued some years ago. I used to use Moonlight Teal glimmerstick, it was a lovely blue-green shade and when I discovered it had been discontinued I tried to no avail to persuade Avon to bring back even for a limited period. I have since viewed a few threads on the avon site regarding other customers who were disappointed that they can no longer obtain this shade. Do you have any suggestions as to whom I could contact to enlist their help as there is always the hope that they could be persuaded to release the colour again due to the lapse in time and the subsequent change in trend and fashion. I am hoping that Avon could be persuaded to release the colour again as it may sell better this time around, particularly due to the fact that customers who previously liked the shade would buy in multiply numbers!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet would be to contact Avon in the UK as they may carry different products and have a different schedule when releasing products. As an Avon Rep in the United States I haven’t heard any news of the Moonlight Teal Glimmerstick being re-introduced into the product lineup and often products are discontinued to make room for more popular products.

I was wondering………my mom bought recently a nechlace and earring set in gold tone with a gold leaf and small pieces of gold chain dangling and I believe orange colored crystals, probably 3 or 4 on the necklace. These are the exact item my daughter is looking for, for her attendants and with the one my mom has we would need 5 more sets. Any idea which campaign they may have been in and can I still get my hands on some? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got the Anew Ulitmate Skin Care 2 week sample pack. No instructions on using the products….please send me the instructions. The eye cream has two things: one looks like a cream and the other side looks like a wax of some kind….do not know how to use it or when. I sure hope you can help me…thanks.

I know it can be confusing but once you know the steps it will be easy. Here’s how to apply your Anew Ultimate Regimen.
Apply in the Morning:
1) Cleanse with the Anew Ultimate Cleanser (rinse or tissue off)
2) Moisturize with the Anew Ultimate DAY Cream. (Apply over face & neck. Avoid Eye area)
3) Eye Cream (1 step) – Apply the Ultimate Eye System CREAM only to the upper & lower eye area and crows-feet.
Apply in the Evening
1) Cleanse with the Anew Ultimate Cleanser (rinse or tissue off)
2) Moisturize with the Anew Ultimate NIGHT Cream. (Apply over face & neck. Avoid Eye area)
3) Eye Cream (2 steps) –
Step 1: Apply the Ultimate Eye System CREAM to the upper & lower eye area and crows-feet. Allow it to absorb.
Step 2: Then apply the Ultimate Eye System ELIXIR (gel) only to the lower eye area and crows-feet. Avoid upper eye area.

Yesterday (1/25), a co-worker had two different catalogs (apparently both current publications) which she had been provided by a local (San Antonio) sales rep– She was interested in a men’s gift which I recall was on page 51 of one of the two catalogs. I don’t recall the name of the men’s fragrance, however, it entailed an offer wherein you buy the fragrance and get a free leather (not genuine leather) bag. The cologne you’re referring to is Unplugged Avon’s new Jon Bon Jovi fragrance for men that came out in October. It smells really good!
As far as the leather-like bag offer, although it was available in C2 which has already passed, you can still take advantage of that offer through Avon’s Shop by Product # feature over at their website. This feature allows you to order from the last two campaigns. This is a great feature because currently the website only reflects the Campaign 4 offers. So if you were looking for an offer that was only available in the last campaign you wouldn’t find it. But it would still be available through the Shop by Product # page. The Anew Clinical Eye Lift Pro Dual Eye System can be used daily and instead of the other Anew Eye Treatments. So to answer your question; Yes, it is an ongoing treatment.
It can be used with any Any Anew skin care regimen for day and night after using your Anew cleansing and moisturizing products.

You can view the C24 Avon Catalog here. The sales and prices in this catalog will be ending soon. If you would like to order from this catalog you can use the “Shop by Product Number” feature at the Avon website. Just select the Campaign # which would be 24 and enter in in the “product number” of the item(s) you would like to purchase.
Keep in mind that this is a past brochure and Avon’s website prices currently reflect the current campaign, which is Campaign 26. But you can always go two campaigns back to take advantage of those sales using the Shop by Product # feature but as soon as Avon changes the current campaign then so does the availability of the past campaigns. Campaign 26 will be ending on Tuesday 12/11/12 as will the availability of the past C24 brochure.

You can contact the National Association of Avon Collectors (NAAC). They may be able to track down a replacement for sale within it’s member base. The NAAC organization is not affiliated with Avon, but is made up of members who are devoted to collecting and trading Avon products. It also monitors activities of Avon collector’s clubs throughout the United States and Canada. Unfortunately they don’t provide a phone number to call nor do they have a website at this time so you would need to contact them by mail.

A few months ago a couple of my customers also asked about the compact so I called Avon directly to find out and yes, they confirmed the Anew compact had been discontinued and currently there isn’t anything to replace it. But if I do hear of a replacement I’ll definitely let you know.

Avon isn’t necessarily trying to discourage customers from viewing the catalog they are however trying to provide another option in which customers can view as well as 1) keep costs down so they can continue offering low prices and 2) become more environmentally responsible by offering a paper alternative.
But I understand your preference, so if you prefer the actual catalog in hand you can still request a brochure from an Avon Rep in your neighborhood, they should be able to accommodate.
As an Avon eRepresentative, my customers don’t shop Avon in the traditional since. They view my eBrochure and order directly from there. It saves them time rather than waiting for an Avon Rep to deliver one and they always know they’re viewing the latest issue. It takes a little getting used to but with more people owning Laptops, iPhones and Tablets viewing the eBrochure online has become more convenient.

Avon just came out with a new product that I think will help you! It’s the ANEW Pro Line Eraser Treatment You can use it with any ANEW regimen and it’s designed for all ages to help minimize deep lines and wrinkles
This is the Pro LIne Eraser Treatment description found on Avon’s website
As far as using an ANEW Regimen that is out of your “age catagory”, here is my suggestion, Try the Anew Rejuvinate regimen designed for 30+ fist, it’s designed to treat fine lines and beginning signs of aging so if you were to use this regimen along with the Pro Line Eraser I think you would see great results. My only concern if you were to go up to the 40+ regimen (Reversalist) is that it may be too strong.
Avon has 2 week trial kits so you can always try the Rejuvinate 30+ first to see if you like it. Then if you don’t you can go ahead and try the Anew Reversalist. This is in addition to the Pro Line Eraser Treatment which you can use for both regimens, twice a day after cleansing and before moisturizing.

Yes! You can use Anew Genics for your night and eye creams. I use Genics and I’m sold on it. I just started using the Pro Line Eraser as well. You’ll want to use it morning and night after cleansing and before moisturizing.

Anew Genics Night Treatment Cream is only used at Night. It is used instead of the Anew Reversalist, Ultimate Rejuvinate or Platinum night creams.
Anew Genics Eye Treatment can be used Day & Night. It is used instead of the Anew Reversalist, Ultimate Rejuvinate & Platinum eye creams.
Anew Genics Treatment Concentrate can be used Day & Night after cleansing and before moisturizing with your Anew Products.
Here’s an Example of a NIGHT regimen using Genics products:
1) Cleanse: Anew Cleanser
2) Treat: Genics Treatment Concentrate or other Treatment*
3) Moisturize: Genics Night Treatment Cream
4) Eyes: Anew Genics Eye Treatment
For your DAY Regimen use your regular Anew Day Cream instead of the Genics Night Cream

Morning Routine

Yes, you can use Pro Line Eraser with your current night cream.
You can also use Reversalist Renewal Serum along with the Pro Line Eraser but keep in mind the more products you use at the same time the greater a chance for an allergic reaction.
Here is an example for a Day & Night regimen
1) Cleanse: Anew Cleanser
2) Treat: Reversalist Renewal Serum
3) Treat: Anew Pro Line Eraser
4) Moisturize: Your Current Night or Day Cream
Also instead of using both treatments at the same time you could also use one in the Day and the other at Night (doesn’t matter which one). It’s really up to you as you know your skin best. You might need to experiment until you get the best results.

There’s only one Avon ANEW CLINICAL Pro Line Eraser Treatment so if you decide to try it out make sure you get an authentic Avon product. You can purchase it directly from the Avon Website (you can click the link above) or purchase it through an Avon Representative the traditional way.

Interesting discussion regarding the SSS Bath Oil. I have fallen in love with it for many uses. It does work for my insect problems. Love the product however, not too crazy for the scent. I work in healthcare and it’s necessary for me to avoid scents. Is it possible to get the SSS bath oil fragrance free?

ANEW REVERSALIST ILLUMINATING EYE SYSTEM should be used morning and night after you cleanse and moisturize. The cream can be used on both the under and upper eye while the “Sheer Veil” should be used under the eyes where dark circles show most.
The ANEW REVERSALIST RENEWAL SERUM should be used after you cleanse but before you moisturize in the morning and at night. Apply all over the face avoiding the eyes. You can also use it just once a day but if you do, use it in the evening when skins healing power is most at work.

Your best bet is to go the Avon website and check to see if Avon is available in your area. If it is available click on the link to view the website and look for anything that mentions how to become an Avon Representative. If you don’t see a link then email or call the number that’s posted on the website.

I enjoyed your site and wish I had seen it before I purchased my huge bottle of SSS oil. Now I am left with mixing this stuff to make mosquito spray for family and friends. Although this way is probably more economical the spray already mixed would have saved me time and energy…That said how do I mix it to spray. I already have 1/2 dozen spray bottles ready to make the sss mosquito spray for our up coming camping trip.

Truthfully, I’m not quite sure how the bath oil is prepared for use as a repellent. I’ve only used Bug Guard. I do know though that some prefer to use it straight, some mix it with water and others use alcohol. Sorry I couldn’t be much help in that department but maybe some of our Beauty2Makeup readers could enlighten us.

As a matter of fact they do! Avon has a collection of body powders that come in their most popular fragrances like Imari, Haiku, Rare Gold, Candid, Night Magic etc. My favorite is Haiku, I use it all the time in the summer and it keeps me comfortable and dry in all those unmentionable place.
Avon Body Powder is pretty inexpensive it’s regularly priced at $5 but more than often it will go on sale for under $2 so I never buy it at regular price.

I think the SKIN SO SOFT Bug Guard Plus IR3535® SPF 30 Gentle Breeze Lotion might be a good match for you. It’s safe enough for the whole family to use and does not need to be washed off. This will also work well in the house as well as outside as it has a vitamin E and Aloa to moisturize your skin as well as SPF to protect you outdoors. Gentle Breeze Bug Guard is gentler than the other Bug Guard varieties and should be re-applied every two hours. It’s best used for light outdoor activity such as picnics and BBQ.
The Bug Guard Gentle Breeze lotion should also be ok for your vacation as you mentioned you won’t be doing any camping or hiking. But if you should do any camping or “woodsy” type activities I would recommend Bug Guard Expedition for daytime activities like hiking and Bug Guard Picaradin for activities when the sun isn’t out but you need extra strength protection when the mosquitoes are out the most.

1) Use your Up-line (the one who signed you up as an Avon Rep) Ask them as many questions as you can. They should want to train you as a rep as your success is their success.
2) Become an expert. Be Pro-Active, This is your business do your own research and learn everything you need to learn about Avon products and the business itself. If your up-line doesn’t know the answer or isn’t as helpful as they should you can always call Avon Rep Support and ask them. Here is the number (513) 551-2866.
3) Provide excellent customer service. Be attentive to your customers, knowledgeable and helpful. Your customers will want to come back and refer you to friends.

The Anew Platinum Serum is really popular and does sell out quickly. Whenever you come across an item that is “sold out” or “out of stock” at the Avon website you can always click the pink “Notify Me” button and Avon will notify you as soon as that product is in.

Avon has discontinued the ANEW Age Transforming Compact. I know it’s disappointing when a favorite Avon item is no longer available. Avon is always coming up with new products and they try to keep a balance between keeping favorite shades and introducing new, contemporary shades. Sometimes, the decision has to be based on the numbers. If a product or certain shade isn’t selling nationwide, then they have to consider replacing it with more contemporary ones. But usually when this happens they try to suggest a substitute. But unfortunately in this case there is no “official” replacement for the Anew compact.
I personally haven’t tried the Anew Transforming Compact but have tried other Avon compacts and have been happy with the way they felt and looked on my skin. Avon has a couple of compacts that come in “Sand Beige” maybe some of these will work for you:

It will cost $10 – $20 to start up depending on whether you sign up in person with an Avon Representative or through the Avon website.
Avon is one of the few companies that allow you to start up without having to purchase an upfront inventory. Also depending on your credit rating, Avon gives you a credit line so you can fulfill your customer orders without having to pay Avon for the items first. It isn’t until after you collect the money from your customers that you pay Avon.
You are not required to submit a Representative order for every campaign, which run in 2 week intervals, but Avon does require a Representative order to be submitted to Avon at least once every 4 campaigns (every 8 weeks) to remain active and in good standing.
A minimum of one $50 order is required to receive a commission. If you have an order that is less than $50 that’s ok, you just wouldn’t receive the representative commission.
For more information and to find an Avon Representative near you, you can complete the following form at the Avon Website and they will direct you to an Avon Rep that can sign you up in person but signing up in person isn’t necessary as you can also complete your application online.
Now if I can give you any advice it would be this: Make sure your upline ( the person who signs you up) knows the business well and is willing to return your phone calls, email and questions promptly. Ask them as many questions as needed to get a sense of what kind of leader they will be as they are the one who will be training you to help pave the way for your success.

I’ve looked through the Avon catalogs, outlets books & flyers as well as the past 2 back issues and unfortunately at this time the Spider Earrings are not available. But that’s not say they won’t be available in the future. Avon will often bring up past holiday items in their Outlet book. However, I hinted that I was not too happy with purchase, but she did not respond, (not on purpose) I am sure. What would you suggest I do? I wouldn’t be too concerned about hurting her feelings just let her know that you aren’t satisfied with the items and that you would like to return them. Avon has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Return Policy and your Avon Representative should be aware of it. If your Avon Representative is experienced and on top of things she’ll be more concerned about providing great customer service and making sure your satisfied with your order, especially if you two are close. So she shouldn’t be hesitant in honoring Avon’s Return Policy. If you do get a vibe from her that she’s bothered or she just plain out says she won’t return your purchase then I would reconsider using her as your representative and find another one who is willing to provide the type of customer service Avon requires.

A few years ago, I purchased an Avon eye shadow and the shade was Dragonfly Libellule. It is a very soft green like a lemongrass shade. I have been trying to find this shade. I purchased the eye shadow in an Avon shop near my home, but it has since gone out of business. I would like to get more shadow of this shade. Hope you still have some old stock. Thank you.

I’m Sorry but I’m not familiar with that color I searched Avon but I couldn’t find any eye shadow with that name so it might have been discontinued. I do however have a suggestion. I’m not sure if it’s the exact color you’re looking for but you might want to try the eye shadow from Avon’s mark line. I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow has a color that may be similar to the greenish color you’re looking for it’s called “Dragonfly”. Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadows are used in combination with the mark Snap To It cases.
Another eye shadow that comes to mind that may be similar is found in the 8-in-1! Eye Palette in Paradise Greens.
So go ahead and check those out and hopefully one of them will be a match and in the mean time I’ll continue to keep an eye out the for the Dragonfly Libellule eye shadow and ask some of my Avon friends.

Generally the Avon Anew regimens are designed for a specific age group:
If you are in your:
30’s use Anew Rejuvenate (cleanser, day cream & night cream)
40’s use Anew Reversalist (cleanser, day cream & night cream)
50’s use Anew Ultimate (cleanser, day cream & night cream)
60+ use Anew Platinum (cleanser, day cream & night cream)
You can also use Anew Genics to replace any of the above night creams as Anew Genics is for all ages and to be use only at night.
The Anew Clinical Treatments can be used in addition to the above regimens for any trouble areas you might have.
Avon has a Skincare Quiz over at their website which will also help you choose the right regimen for your skincare needs so I would start there first. Based on the answers you select the quiz will generate an Anew regimen that will your suit your needs best. You can then click the image of each suggested item for a full description of benefits. The quiz will also suggest some additional Anew products and alternatives as well but you don’t have to use all the products, they are only suggestions.
Once you decide which Anew regimen to use, you might want to consider purchasing an Anew 2 Week Trial Kit first before you invest in a full sized regimen to test the sensitivity of your skin and to make sure you don’t have any allergic reactions. If a representative goes through the trouble of mailing you a brochure I think the courteous thing to do would be to order from her. After all, it’s at the Representatives expense (postage and the cost of the brochure) in hopes that she would gain a new customer.
Now if you still don’t wish to shop with an Avon Representative you can go to Avon.com and shop there without a Representative but you won’t get the benefits of having a personal representative which include Free Shipping, in fact the shipping cost is more.
